How we price
Anthropic charges us. We pass the math through.
Two LLM-bearing actions drive variable cost. The full worked math lives in the source — comments at the top of components/landing/PricingTable.tsx — but the short version:
- An ad-hoc assessment runs up to 10 calls against the heavy model (Sonnet 4.5: $3/M input, $15/M output). Conservative cost: ~$0.50 per assessment.
- A monthly refresh runs up to 5 calls against the light model (Haiku 4.5: $1/M input, $5/M output). Cost: ~$0.05 per refresh.
- The pre-fill DOCX pipeline is LLM-free — pure scraping plus python-docx. Effectively zero variable cost per Mantleline Standard file.
Starter ($29) covers 25 tracked vendors + 10 ad-hoc assessments — about $6 of variable cost, leaving room for the substrate (Supabase, Vercel, Resend) and a margin that survives a price hike upstream.
Team ($99) covers 100 vendors + 50 assessments — about $30 of variable cost. Same shape.
Enterprise is priced per engagement because at unbounded volume the math stops being a rounding-error and starts needing a contract.
Anthropic raises prices, we tell you and adjust. The alternative — picking a number that feels right and pretending the bill doesn’t exist — is how SaaS ends up charging $400/seat for a wrapper.
